Writer, Editor, Musician Born in New York City, moved to Hungary in 1988 to do fieldwork in anthropology, just as the communist era was coming to an end, and decided to stay to chronicle the changes in culture and society in east Europe. Worked as culture editor of "Budapest Week" Budapest's first private English Language weekly newspaper 1991-1995, edited "The Hungarian Spectator" and "Magyar Music" for Xenomusic.com. Freelance publications include Time Out! travel guide, Fodor's Travel guide, KLM Airlines' in-flight magazine, EAT magazine (Japan). Leader of award winning Klezmer band "Di Naye Kapelye".
